Sarah Sanders Gets Grilled Over Stormy Daniels Lawsuit: ‘This Case Has Already Been Won’
Sarah Huckabee Sanders repeatedly tried to wiggle her way out of questions on Wednesday when asked about Stormy Daniels‘ upcoming lawsuit against President Trump.
During the White House press briefing, CNN’s Jeff Zeleny grilled the press secretary about what the president knew of Michael Cohen‘s massive payout to Daniels during the 2016 election. Sanders declared that none of the salacious allegations against the president are true, and she claimed that Trump already won the matter in arbitration.
Sander repeatedly referred questions on the Daniels scandal to Trump’s outside legal counsel, though Zeleny continued to press her about the timing and the cash payments involved in the matter. Sanders again declared that “the president has denied the allegations against him, and again, this case has already been won in arbitration.”
The topic came up multiple times throughout the briefing, and in one instance, it was brought up in connection to Trump’s Access Hollywood tape. Sanders kept refusing to answer follow-up questions.
After the briefing concluded, Daniels’ legal representative had this to say about how the lawsuit has already been decided.
