Trump: Ivanka Would Be ‘Dynamite’ as UN Ambassador, But I’d Be Accused of Nepotism

With UN Ambassador Nikki Haley leaving, President Donald Trump talked today about possibilities of who could replace her. And yes, Ivanka came up.

There’s been some speculation that the First Daughter and presidential advisor is in the running to replace Haley. Trump told reporters that he’s considering Dina Powell, but he also brought up Ivanka:

“I’ve heard a lot of names. I’ve heard Ivanka. I’ve heard how good would Ivanka be. The people that know, it’s nothing to do with nepotism. But I want to tell you, the people that know, know that Ivanka would be dynamite. But, you know, I’d then be accused of nepotism, if you can believe it, right?”

He said she would be “incredible” in the position but added, “We are looking at numerous people.”
