On Thursday, President Donald Trump told Fox News’ Sean Hannity that it is time to “get on with” the Brett Kavanaugh hearing.
Speaking live during a pre-rally interview in Las Vegas, Trump was asked by Hannity about the Kavanaugh hearings.
“I think it’s a very sad situation,” Trump said with the rally crowds shouting behind him. “He is an outstanding person.”
He continued on; “Frankly, Sean, to see what is going on is just very, very sad. You say, Why didn’t somebody call the FBI 36 years ago? I mean, you could also say when did this all happen, what’s going on? To take a man like this and besmirch — now with that being said, let her have her say and let’s see how it all works out.”
He then called for an end to the delay.
“I don’t think you can delay it any longer,” he said, prompting Hannity to tell Trump he has been accommodating.
“I have been accommodating,” Trump agreed. “I say let her say what she has to say and let’s see how it all comes out.”
The president then stressed this: “They had delayed it a week and have to get on with it.”
