WATCH: Family Feud Player’s Awkwardly Racial Answer About ‘Black’ Zombies

Well, this was… awkward.

During an episode of Family Feud, white contestant Christie and her black opponent were asked to name something about zombies. Christie buzzed in first and blurted out: “Black.”

Host Steve Harvey looked dumbstruck as he turned around to the big board behind him. “They’re black, okay…” he said as the crowd laughed and Christie looked embarrassed.

The contestant attempted to explain herself, telling Harvey she didn’t know much about zombies, especially whether their skin was black or white. “You shut up, lady,” he joked in return before belting out a laugh.

And, no, “black” was not one of the answers on the board.
