Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders will hold a press briefing today in order to discuss the White House’s latest plans and administrative agenda. The briefing is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. ET.
Today’s briefing will most likely include questions about the reports that special counsel Robert Mueller is subpoenaing the Trump Organization for documents about the president’s business ventures in Russia. President Donald Trump has said that investigations into his family’s finances should be off limits to the special counsel, though Mueller, undaunted, is moving ahead. This could certainly open a new dimension into the Russia investigations.
Sanders also figures to be asked about the latest news involving Stormy Daniels‘ alleged affair with the president and her lawsuit to break free of her non-disclosure agreement. The porn star’s attorney told the media today that his client was threatened with physical harm while Trump’s team was trying to get her to keep quiet ahead of the 2016 election. Daniels’ representative also said she could provide “very specific details” about her interactions with Trump.
Other topics that will probably come up include the fatal bridge collapse in Florida, and the latest indications that the Trump Administration is about to clean house.
