Earlier this morning, CNN’s Brian Stelter tweeted that his followers ought to “Buckle up,” because the “unofficial start of fall” is generally a very “busy news day.” Let the record show that Tuesday, Sept. 8 has in fact been a “busy news day,” what with anti-same sex marriage clerk Kim Davis‘ being released from prison, Andrea Mitchell‘s admitting her avoidance of email questions in her recent interview with Hillary Clinton, and Donald Trump‘s use of Robert Redford‘s words as an endorsement.
Unfortunately we missed an important bit, so I’m here to rectify the glaring admission.
I’m talking, of course, about the man who unsuccessfully tried to remove a banner from a young woman who interrupted Dick Cheney‘s speech at the American Enterprise Institute. Cheney was busy attacking President Obama‘s Iran Deal when a woman with an organization called “Code Pink” began protesting the former vice president.
Check out the original clip below, via C-SPAN 2:
The protest itself isn’t newsworthy, necessarily. However, the suited, adult male who tried to exert his pro-Cheney alpha-male stance is — mainly because of his failed efforts to remove the protester’s banner from petite, non-suited hands. Needless to say, the Internet noticed.

As well as remixed Vine videos, complete with music from American Gladiator:
Just in case you’re wondering, the answer is no — the angry, flailing man never did manage to take the banner away from the protester. She still had her hands on it, even when she was finally escorted from the room, still protesting.
