Nigel Farage Hints At Return To Politics In U.S. To ‘Help Donald Trump’s Campaign’

GB News host and former Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage hinted at a possible return to politics this summer with what he described as “a firm job offer on the table” in the U.S. in a role that would see him “heavily involved” in Donald Trump’s campaign.”

Speaking with TalkTV host Julia Hartley-Brewer on Monday, Farage appeared to discuss his campaigning for the UK to leave or reform the World Health Organization over the “terrifying” new intergovernmental treaty currently in negotiation on pandemic preparedness and response.

He was further quizzed on whether a return to politics was on the horizon, given the upcoming general election in the UK. However, Farage gave indications that his ambitions laid across the Atlantic in the U.S. with the upcoming presidential election.

The host began: “At what point are you going to make a decision? Former UKIP leader, former Brexit Party leader… You are, of course, the honorary president of Reform UK, as well. Are you going to return to frontline politics? If you think the current lot [of politicians] are so useless, don’t we need you?”

Farage replied: “Well we have, of course, had the inspiring speech by [Prime Minister] Rishi Sunak this morning. Although, I must confess, I did nod off after about 15 minutes of it.”

He added: “A couple of things have changed since early April, when I turned to the incredible age of 60 – just shows you what clean living can do…”

“He doesn’t look a day over 59!” Hartley-Brewer added.

Farage continued: “A couple of things have changed, I have been to America twice since then and I do actually have a very firm job offer on the table from America, which is very tempting.”

The host asked: “Is this the talk of you being the British envoy to…”

“No, this is something separate to that but very related…”

“Working for Donald Trump?” the host pressed.

“It would indirectly be to help Donald Trump’s campaign,” Farage said.

Hartley-Brewer asked: “Not you being the U.S. ambassador to Britain? That would be fun.”

“No, it would be enormous fun, but I don’t think it’s going to happen,” Farage said.

“What is the job? Is it working on his campaign?” the host pushed.

Farage responded, offering more detail: “It’s a confidential offer, obviously, but it would be very heavily involved with the election campaign,” the guest said. “Obviously if he becomes president of America matters, clearly the direction our country is taking is important too. I honestly haven’t made my mind up and I haven’t long left to do it. I fully accept that. At the moment, I am leaning towards America but let’s see.”

Farage interviewed the former president and 2024 Republican nominee for GB News in March in an exclusive that was blasted as nothing short of “a free campaign advertisement.”

In January Trump said that “many people” would like to see the Brexiteer as U.S. ambassador to the UK and added that Farage would do a “great job.” Later that same month he called for a standing ovation for Farage, who was in attendance at his Iowa campaign rally.
