Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is controlled by a powerful Conservative figure, a “shadowy fixer” with a James Bond villain’s nickname and a fondness for violence, according to the claims of former cabinet minister Nadine Dorris in her upcoming book.

The shocking allegation was revealed by the MailOnline on Friday, pushing the release for Dorries’ new book, The Plot: The Political Assassination of Boris Johnson, which is being serialised exclusively in the Mail from Saturday.

Dorries, who served under and remains loyal to former Prime Minister Boris Johnson, sets out how a cabal of influential fixers, advisers and ministers have controlled the Conservative Party for two decades and alleges they were responsible for ousting Johnson.

Dorries has been a vocal criticw of Sunak and attacked him repeatedly in her resignation letter. In that letter she refers to the “dark story” that emerged about “the machinations of a small group of individuals embedded deep at the centre of the party and Downing St.”

At the centre of that group, according to her book, is an enigmatic character—referred to only as “Dr No”—who works in the shadows within every Conservative administration and was behind installing Sunak as Prime Minister.

Dr No, allegedly is a former “petty crook” who somehow worked his way to become a powerful force in the Conservative Party. He, apparently, likes violence and orchestrates disinformation campaigns to intimidate those that oppose him.

“Dr No was once on remand in prison for alleged arson,” Dorries writes. “When a girlfriend ended their relationship, it is rumoured that he had her little brother’s pet rabbit chopped into four and nailed to the front door of the family home to greet him when he got home from school, in true Mafia style.” The Mail says it has fact-checked this claim.

Adding to the mystery of who this individual is, Dorries claims that even longstanding chairpersons of the Conservative Party have been perplexed by the identity of the individual listed as “Dr No” on the payroll. Despite this person’s elusive nature and history of legal run-ins Dorries claims that only a select few from within No 10 would be able to recognize him.

As per her assertions, this shadowy figure’s penchant for violence is such that he would allegedly seek out clashes during demonstrations near Downing Street, not to participate, but to observe the turmoil with a detached curiosity.

The government’s director of propriety and ethics at the Cabinet Office has already sent Dorries a letter warning her that refusing to share the transcript of her book, prior to release, is something that would be “taken into account” if she was ever considered for a peerage.

Naturally, rather than cause Dorries to think twice about what she about to publish, the warning letter has already been folded into her conspiracy theory and is serving as an excellent promotional tool.
