During her affair with President Donald Trump, ex-Playboy model Karen McDougal claims he compared her to his daughter.
The stunning admission came during her CNN tell-all with Anderson Cooper Thursday, when Cooper asked McDougal whether the president had ever made such comparisons during their relationship.
“You know, he, he’s very proud of Ivanka,” she said. “As he should be. I mean, she’s a brilliant woman. She’s beautiful. She’s, that’s his daughter, and he should be proud of her. He said I was beautiful like her and, you know, you’re a smart girl. And there wasn’t a lot of comparing, but there was some, yeah. I heard a lot about her. Yeah.”
But according to McDougal, being compared to the president’s young daughter wasn’t strange.
“You know, I know a lot of people think it’s odd,” she said. “There’s been some comments I’ve heard in the news he’s said about her, I think those comments are wrong, but do I think it’s strange that a father would love his daughter so much that he brags about her? No, I brag about my dog that much.”
Just before the admission, Cooper showed McDougal a photo taken of her at a party during which she met Trump’s son, Eric.
Asked whether that was strange for her, McDougal said she simply tried to push the affair out of her mind.
“It did [feel strange], but he was such a friendly guy, like, again, when you’re doing something wrong, you try and push everything out of the way and make it as right as you can in your mind,” she noted. “So I met, you know, all his kids, except for Barron, of course. And I just started to shake it. But now it gets to me, but then it didn’t.”
McDougal launched a lawsuit last Tuesday against American Media, Inc. to exit a $150,000 non-disclosure agreement she signed regarding the relationship. She told CNN she feels the contract is illegal.
