WATCH: Awkward MasterChef Contestant Gets Way Too Excited About Crab Sabotage

Oof. If Ryan wasn’t such a misogynist, we’d find him sort of lovable. But after Monday night’s “show them your nipples” incident, we’re pretty much Team Anyone But. So we didn’t mind reveling for a moment in the awkwardness of this particular MasterChef-testant getting way too excited by the prospect of screwing over his competitors.

After winning the offal mystery box challenge, Ryan received three advantages for the elimination: immunity from having to cook, choosing the protein his competitors would be cooking with, and choosing which competitors would be cooking with fresh protein and which would be cooking with canned.

At this point, Ryan literally devolves into a cartoon character, drooling and evilly rubbing his hands together while taking in his spoils, wild-eyed and gleeful. Incidentally, he hooks up his bro Tali with fresh crab, forgetting that Tali kind of sucks as a chef. He totally bombs and the judges are not happy with the waste of a beautiful Dungeness crab.
