A Year Of Obama: Top Ten Highs And Lows Of The Last Twelve Months
They Kill Flies, Don’t They
If you needed any proof that perhaps the mostly male media which covers the doings of the President had a bit of a crush on Obama, you need look no further than the fly-swatting incident. The President swatted a fly. Cue gushing.

We need a change to the Constitution that allows for a referendom on the quality of an administration after the first year.
It would allow a choice. Pick one in each section.
The President is doing a great job, lets keep him……………….___

citizen can buy a ticket (max 5 tickets per adult)…………………..___
9 Months… and what has been accomplished. A dead fly, beer, and a failed attack on FNC. A few good speeches, an (admittedly) undeserved award, and some legislation that probably won’t make it to law.
Woo-hoo????
what had Bush accomplished by this time in his rookie year.

Well… Bush didn’t have the same kind of situation when he took office, now did he? No wars, no recession, etc. Additionally, by this time, 9-11 had already happened, and we were in Afghanistan… Bush’s approval numbers were way high.
But more importantly… does it matter? I thought Obama was elected to be BETTER than Bush… not to be equal to? Why would you want to compare them, to show how parallel they are? What does that prove?
Is it 2012 yet?
John Boehner’s Office Selectively Edits Alcee Hasting’s ‘We Make Up The Rules’ Clip

Amid the many Internet memes that have sprung up in recent days surrounding the health care debate, a nine-second video of Alcee Hastings saying "when the deal goes down, all of this talk about rules - we make 'em up as we go along," is pretty damning evidence of the byzantine legislative process. Perhaps even more instructive, however, is the fact that the video was taken out of context. Even worse? It seems that the selective editing came from the office of Minority Leader John Bohener.
David Shuster Defends Brett Baier Interview, Talks Twitter Absence
MSNBC's David Shuster has been absent from Twitter for a little over a month after taking heat from MSNBC for unloading on costume journalist James O'Keefe. In this second preview from my interview with Shuster, I asked him how he feels about the "Free David Shuster" campaign, and Twitter in general.
Since it was fresh in my mind, I also asked him about the interruption-filled Brett Baier interview of President Obama.
