A Year Of Obama: Top Ten Highs And Lows Of The Last Twelve Months
The Beer Summit of 2009

The President made it through his first 100 days without much mishap. The first signs of the sort of crazy headlines that would threaten to derail his health care plan were actually of the President’s own making. Behold the Beer Summit. In the aftermath of well-known Harvard Professor Henry Louis Gates arrest at the hands of a white police officer, Obama took Lynn Sweet’s bait during press conference and proceeded to describe the police as having acted “stupidly.” Before you know it Obama’s remarks have caused such an uproar that the President shortly finds himself hosting a “Beer Summit” with Gate, Biden, and the officer in question Sgt. James Crowley.

We need a change to the Constitution that allows for a referendom on the quality of an administration after the first year.
It would allow a choice. Pick one in each section.

9 Months… and what has been accomplished. A dead fly, beer, and a failed attack on FNC. A few good speeches, an (admittedly) undeserved award, and some legislation that probably won’t make it to law.
Woo-hoo????
what had Bush accomplished by this time in his rookie year.
Well Bush let a highly classified Navy Aircraft land in China.

Well… Bush didn’t have the same kind of situation when he took office, now did he? No wars, no recession, etc. Additionally, by this time, 9-11 had already happened, and we were in Afghanistan… Bush’s approval numbers were way high.
But more importantly… does it matter? I thought Obama was elected to be BETTER than Bush… not to be equal to? Why would you want to compare them, to show how parallel they are? What does that prove?
Is it 2012 yet?
Obama’s National Security Chief Of Staff Goes ‘Nucular’

After years of the cringe-worthy pronunciation of nu-cu-lar during the Bush White House, it seemed like we finally had an administration who had a litmus test in staffing their National Security detail - pronounce the word "nuclear." Not so. During an interview to discuss Iran's weapons program with MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell today, National Security Chief of Staff Denis McDonough definitely uttered the term Nucular. Gotcha! Right-wing critics eager for payback? Go! Video after the jump.
Governor David Paterson Rebuffs Rumors Of His Imminent Resignation
Embattled New York Governor David Paterson spoke publicly today about rumors of an impending scandal the imminent resignation that would come as a result. "The only way I'm not going to be Governor next year is at the ballot box. And the only way that I will be leaving office before is in a box." Video after the jump.
