Anonymous Craigslist Rant Complains Legal Weed in Colo. Has Made State Too Expensive

marijuanaThe legalization of recreational marijuana has caused a major headache for one Colorado resident who says the cost of living has skyrocketed — but there is a solution:

Please, please please USA, make weed legal medically if not medically AND recreationally EVERYWHERE in the US so those of us in the legal states have places to live!

The suggestion comes at the end of a post that appeared on the “Rants and Raves” section of Denver Craigslist, in which the author describes his landlord’s efforts to remove tenants and the predicament of trying to live in a city where rents continue to soar. The particulars of the scenario will be familiar to residents of many American cities mired in housing crises. But the notion that this is all due to licit cannabis is novel.

“If [marijuana] were legal everywhere, people would leave the state to make big bucks in other states or, make more money by expanding their businesses outside of Colorado alone!” the author writes.
