Chris Matthews Compares Republicans To North Korean Politicians

video

While Michael Steele is busy comparing the recent health care summit to a “death panel” for Obamacare due to too much in-fighting, over on the left we have Chris Matthews calling out Republicans for…all being on the same page about killing the health care bill? Apparently that makes them “the closest thing to Pyongyang democracy” that Chris has ever seen.

Didn’t we say the other day that calling people socialists was the new “You’re a Nazi”? Although considering the red scare of the McCarthy era, maybe we’re just in a retro-vogue trend right now.

Chris Matthews also sees West Point as “the enemy camp”, so no wonder he sees Republicans as the Reds. They need to take the guy away before he harms himself. He has already destroyed MSNBC’s ratings.

  • same2u

F*ck starting over. Do reconciliation for whatever parts they can. These Con a-holes already had an opportunity during the Bush administration to feign a slight interest in reforming health care.

This is why when “news anchors” Chuck Todd and/or Savanah Guthrie or anyone else from NBC goes on with any MSNBC host, their credibility goes down the tubes. It is time to send Chris, keith and Rachel to the netherlands.

“The closest thing to Pyongyang democracy” and “communists are the new fascists” are pretty much the same type thing. One just blogs on TV, while the other does it at night and on weekends for what may be a slightly smaller audience.

BTW) Kudos to Matthews and thanks Drew. When I clicked, I was expecting the same bits as were featured on The Daily Show, but thankfully Chris expanded the definition.

Here you have it folks N. Korea agrees with Democrats.

  • campbell62

The level of maturity on MSNBC is appalling. But then, at least we know from the ratings that few people watch them anyway!

  • WarEagle01

Chis Mathews’ Leg was unavailable for comment.

Matthews is right!!! The Republicans and the Teabaggers are like North Koreans in their goals. No, not communism or whatever the N. Koreans use as the myth, but the reality of a police state, a boot heel, desparity in class and little light reaching the masses. That’s where the Republicans and li’l Kim are on the same page.

Bill Adkins, as usual, you offer nothing but your bile to the conversation.

Jim, I commented upon Matthews and made clear statements about his conclusions. And you, JimW, unable to contribute anything but stupidity maintain your record. Heckuva job.

“The debate is over. The left has hardened itself around the core value of a furious, permanent, reactionary opposition to the devil-state America, which stands as the paramount evil of the world and the paramount threat to the world, and whose aims must be thwarted even at the cost of supporting fascists and tyrants…

International ANSWER (Act Now to Stop War and End Racism) is a front group for the communist Workers World Party. The Workers World Party is, literally, a Stalinist organization. It rose out of a split within the old Socialist Workers Party over the Soviet Union’s 1956 invasion of Hungary — the breakaway Workers World Party was all for the invasion. International ANSWER today unquestioningly supports any despotic regime that lays any claim to socialism, or simply to anti-Americanism…This is whom the left now marches with. The left marches with the Stalinists.”

So anytime a party is in agreement on something that is Pyongyang democracy or N. Korea politics? Well at least now I know what I can equate the Democrats next time they all agree on something.

  • JimW

Dear Bill Adkins, you don’t exist for me or for many other people on here. I was just noting your incapacity to offer a comment without a very unhealthy dose of nastiness. This may be unfortunate for people close to you, but it actually means nothing to me.

Dear Jim — you did it again. Keep it up, you’ll acquire even new levels of irrelevance heretofore not seen. And, please, continue to pretend I don’t exist for you. It comforts me.

I am forever confused how Republicans trying to get government out of the private sector can be interpreted into them wanting a totalitarian government. How does fighting against a State takeover of industries translate into them becoming Statists? It is a way of demonizing on two contradictory fronts.

  • timzank

Martini, it’s that age old “common sense” versus “emotionalism” thing with progressives. They base all decisions and beliefs on emotion. They have no common sense.

Would anyone believe that at one time in his career, Chris Matthews was a well-respected opinion journalist?

Now, he has sunk below even Keith Olbermann, who is little better than a court jester.

But he fits right in with the MSNBC prime-time lineup, so he’ll be able to keep his job for a while, anyway (at least until NBC realizes that MSNBC is not a real news outlet, and decides to divest themselves of it).

  • MichelleF

    Jim,
Thank you for taking on the role of trying to talk to Ted today. I’m sick and just don’t have the strength. Good luck to you!

  • MichelleF

    I agree, Nick,
Believe it or not, I used to watch Chris everyday and enjoyed it. You knew he was lib, but I enjoyed the show. Then he totally flipped out and completely lost it!! I’ve now been barred from watching him from those who I live with because they were worried for my health.

At this point, he’s in last place consistently and is just trying to catch up to Olby and Rach, whose rating are dismal as well.

  • kris843

Jon Stewart’s bit was funnier but the fact remains. The Republicans sound like a bad commmunist caricature. Don’t deviate from the party line, don’t think for yourself, and never, repeat never, allow that the other guy has a good idea. At least Boehner didn’t take off his shoe and bang it on the table.

    Kirs,
Funny comment. I guess you missed a little thing called the teaparties. The teaparties are all about forcing these rino repubs to get in line with real conservative values, like they used to stand for. You may have also missed Glenn Becks CPAC speech. Man was he thrilling for the Repubs!

Every circus needs a few clowns; Chris Matthews is amply qualified.

It’s interesting that you make such a comment. However, when someone proposes violence towards people you disagree with politically… either you’re happy to sign up, or you’re happy to sit on the sideline. So what kind of “myth” do you think you represent.

Don’t say “hypocrisy,” because that one isn’t a myth.

Excellent point! I think Evan Bayh and Joe Lieberman would agree.
