Dallas Police Department on Lockdown After Receiving Threat from Anonymous Group (UPDATED)
Only two days after Dallas observed the death of five police officers and the injury of seven others, the city’s police department is now apparently on lockdown after a troubling message was sent their way.
WFAA-TV reports that a SWAT team has assembled outside Dallas Police’s HQ for the past hour after learning of a threat from an unknown group from Houston. The group is reportedly armed and is heading to the city in order to harm police officers.
The city remains on high alert after law enforcement officials were targeted in a gunman’s attack during a Thursday night Black Lives Matter protest. Multiple people have taken to Twitter to post photos of the SWAT vehicles and other safety measures that are currently set up outside the police department.
