Game Changer? Attorney General Of Ohio, Mike DeWine Drops Romney, Backs Santorum

The Attorney General of Ohio, Mike DeWine has officially withdrawn his support for Mitt Romney and transferred his endorsement to Rick Santorum. Santorum is currently leading in Ohio with 42% compared to Romney’s 24% according to the most recent Rasmussen Poll. DeWine is expected to announce the decision later today at Ohio State House in Columbus.

DeWine’s decision to switch was provoked by the opposing views on the Felon Voting Bill. Coincidentally, Santorum and DeWine were two of the three Republican Senators in favor of the bill.

Uh oh. It’s all over now.

     I know! Obama 2012!

  • Anonymous

Silly me. I was expecting to see an endorsement from Bayer Aspirin.

  • Anonymous

Which appellation to you suppose Romney will apply to DeWine? Weasel or Rat.

  • Anonymous

Given how Rick Santorum believes pharmaceutical companies should be able to charge whatever they want for life saving medications and the parents of sick kids are wrong for questioning that, I’m sure Bayer will be his next big name endorsement. :)

    …unlike lunatic-left d-cRAT socialist extremism, Ruling-Class Establishment RINO-ism IS a curable mental disease.

I hope someday they develop a cure for whatever it is you have that causes you to hate people with different opinions to yours so much. :)

I guess its your turn to use the computer at the Mental Hospital today.

  • Anonymous

Hey liberals it’s a Santorum article, you better get your Dan Savage material out. You uncreative hate merchants.

  • Anonymous

I love that you completely ignore the liberal comments above yours that don’t mention the alternate definition of Santorum whatsoever. We don’t need to as there are plenty of other things Santorum and those connected to him have said and done we can laugh about. Keep trying, though, eventually you may make an actual point. :)

But can Tea Baggee compulsion be cured???

Actually this is the game changer.

Thank you so much Republicans for running clowns against Obama. This is going to be so much fun!!!

  • Hout Bosques

Nonetheless, getting Meatloaf’s endorsement always tips the scales.

  • Anonymous

Republicans had 4 years to find a Candidate.

  • Hout Bosques

Great mocking title choice by Michael Hayes – it’d take at least a half-dozen DeWines just to fire up the centrifuge to spin that little bit of Freiss out from all that Santorum.

  • Hout Bosques

Oopsie: Just couldn’t resist: the TITLE made me do it. Still not good enough? Alrighty then: No way Jon Stewart tells me how to wear my hat … to fend off the splatter. Okay, okay: my bad.

Obviously Romney doesn’t think the trees are the right size in Ohio and as such shouldn’t be supported by Ohioans.

  • DoNotMindMe

The comments above him did mention the alternative definition. Them both say frothy – a play on the Dan Savage word.

  • Anonymous

    Good work!

  • Anonymous

Both the comments that use the word frothy were posted after he said that.

  • DoNotMindMe

    Oh, thanks for the clarification.

Easy mistake to make and my fault, really, I forget not everyone uses the same settings here. I should have phrased it better, said before, not above. :)

I’ve seen a few of the ads aimed at Santorum but not one is aimed at the women of this country.  It seems that he plans to overturn Wade Roe and make all contraception illegal.  Half or more of this country are women and they should certainly know what they are voting for if they vote for the fruitcake.

  • Centrist79

Ever since Trump endorsed Mitt, he has been in an absolute free fall.

  • Charles Ulysses Feney

They’ll trot out Jeb Bush and Chris Christie at the brokered convention and pretend it’s a  popular uprising, especially if we are getting an ass kicking in an ill advised Iran war.

The GOP War on Women has a new supporter.

Republicans would like all women to get in a time machine and go back to the 1950s.

Bring it on, religous freedom! Let’s make Sharia Law happen!

  • AIiveStiIIKickin

He hasn’t stated any of what  you claim…so therefore….you are a liar.

  • AIiveStiIIKickin

All of this baseless “personal beliefs” crap will be long  forgotten once Obama is in the spotlight having to defend  the absolutely miserable job he has done.
Rick Santorum has a soul FULL of something Obama can’t even define and certainly can’t claim: INTEGRITY.

  • Verreauxii

    Liar! Anything trump touches shines!

  • Verreauxii

    Nice speech.

  • Чёрт Возьми

So Santorum is the ONLY candidate with integrity?
    I don’t think so.
Things are looking better for Obama every day, and yes, he has integrity, too.

  • Чёрт Возьми

Yup. Trump has lots and lots of gold colored paint to spray around.

  • Чёрт Возьми

It would be better for them if they could start fresh, but it can’t happen. The Republicans are either stuck with Romney or with Santorum, and the best odds are still for Romney.
However, it looks like it will be close. Romney cannot win Michigan, despite the claim that it is the state he comes from. He lost that “birthright” when he left MI after high school, and became governor of Mass. Most of all, he wrote that the auto industry bailout was wrong, and that will cost him support in MI and OH.

  • FormerlyLib

“It seems”: Look at what you wrote: It seems.  Santorum has said no such things that you say “It seems” he plans to do.

As president, Santorum could not overturn Roe v. Wade. And he has not said he would like to see it happen. He has stated that abortion is the taking of a human life in his opinion. That is also the opinion of more than half of all women in this country. A huge majority of women think abortion should be illegal in most or all cases. Women are not in agreement on this.

Santorum has stated over and over that contraception is a personal belief. He will state why he believes what he does but will not try to force anyone. He has consistently voted in favor of contraception and for federal funding of contraception. In that case I disagree with him as some contraceptives are abortive.

    One losing senator endorses another.

  • AIiveStiIIKickin

    I see that….like Obama….you can’t define it either.
    LOL!!

  • AIiveStiIIKickin

     Actually…I typed it.
    “Speeches” are oral communications.
Y’all liberals really need to invest in some dictionaries.

  • Чёрт Возьми

You did not define INTEGRITY. You only said Santorum has it.
I grant you that, but I say again that he is not the only one who has it.
The American Heritage dictionary defines INTEGRITY thus:

Steadfast adherence to a strict moral or ethical code. The state of being unimpaired; soundness. The quality or condition of being whole or undivided; completeness.

Granted, the other Republican candidates, except for Ron Paul, do not display a great deal of integrity, but Obama certainly does a much better job of it than they do.

  • Чёрт Возьми

So you haven’t read the great speeches of the presidents? I guess you don’t know that all presidents pay people to WRITE their speeches for them.

  • naikod sorparap

Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience

  • naikod sorparap

Proof that you’re never too old to learn something stupid.

  • naikod sorparap

But they aren’t speeches until they are spoken.
Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit; Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.

  • Чёрт Возьми

    Well played!

  • Чёрт Возьми

Idiots cannot use computers. Ergo, there are no idiots here.

  • Verreauxii

Looks like you already got pwned. I’m outta here.

  • Anonymous

Mike used to be better than that.

AliveStill, Rick Santorum has integrity? Where?

     Santorum rails on freedom &
    individualism.

http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread793960/pg1Rick, Mitt & Newt are insurance FOR the 0 agenda. 0 is close to not being eligible to be on the ballot in some states so his reelection chances are growing smaller. Rick, Mitt & Newt would do what 0 did when he took over destroying the US from where Bush left off: continue the Collapse The System agenda as out lined by Cloward & Pivon. 0 is another Bush. R, M & N would be another 0. These 3 are just more big govt stooges who would continue the status quo. This election is all about any one but Ron Paul. Ron is the only one running that would actually do cuts to spending. Who would work to restore the govt back to the Constitution. Ron’s message & support has gone under & unreported by fringe media while they promote misinformation against Paul that he is racist, isolationist & so on. The political establishment’s big borrowers & spenders, the military industrial complex, the political control freaks…they fear Ron because he would actually do what he says, a stark contrast to the other candidates running in the R & D ‘parties’. Dr. Paul’s integrity scares them sideways. They like the DC taxpayer gravy train…You are correct that 0 has no integrity. That is also true of Rick, Mitt& Newt. SamFox

Once Obama is in the spotlight, whichever GOPig gets nominated will fare even worse than they are now.

And Santorum was the most corrupt member of the Senate. Then he got booted out and became a lobbyist. He has no integrity whatsoever.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_34VQ3NDNOFFUF6R7ALXY6O33S4 Cal

Game-changer? Hardly. Endorsements are not a driving force in elections. At all.

  • Anonymous

Apparently its going to take us another 4yrs……..just saying…….

  • Anonymous

They are both smart enough to stay out of this looney crazy train ride. They stand a better chance in 2016.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_TWK2YYJTTIDLZIVV7NKZM23Z6Q Tyler

I bet a lot of people will be flipping their endorsements before super Tuesday.

  • Anonymous

I think DeWhines third endorsement will have the proper gravitas for this election.

  • Anonymous

I’m not a fan of Trump but didn’t Romney win Nevada and Maine after Trump had endorsed him? I’m not saying Romney won thanks to Trump.
