How to Watch the Democratic National Committee Debate Live Stream Online
As the Democratic party looks to rebuild after a crushing loss in November’s general election, candidates for chair of the Democratic National Committee will take the stage tonight in Atlanta for a debate on CNN, just days ahead of the party elections. Donna Brazile has served an interim chair of the DNC since last summer, and interested candidates will have the opportunity to make their case for being the face of the party looking to combat the administrative policies of President Donald Trump.
The event will be co-moderated by Dana Bash, CNN’s Chief Political Correspondent, and New Day anchor Chris Cuomo live from the CNN Center in Atlanta. It will begin at 10 p.m. EST, airing live on CNN, CNN en Español, CNN International, CNNgo, Westwood One Radio Network and on CNN Channel 116 on Sirius XM.
The network explains the necessary criteria for candidates to take part on the debate:
To receive an invitation to the debate, a person must be recognized by the DNC as a candidate for chair as outlined by its 2016 memo and must have appeared in at least three of the four DNC’s Future Forums held in Phoenix, Arizona; Houston, Texas; Detroit, Michigan; and Baltimore, Maryland.
The elections for DNC chair will be held on Saturday of this upcoming weekend, and the leading candidates for the gig are Democratic Congressman Keith Ellison from Minnesota (who shot back at Trump’s via Twitter this morning) and former Labor Secretary Tom Perez, once considered a viable option for Vice President.
We have reached out to the network for final confirmation regarding the candidates will take part in the event.
