Jemele Hill: Trump’s Attack on Athletes ‘Will Only Incite More Player Protests’

President Trump has started a new fight against professional athletes, so naturally, there was no way this would escape the notice of ESPN’s Jemele Hill.
Just so we’re clear: the president’s comments will only incite more player protests, not quell them.

Hill’s comments came after Trump spoke at a rally in Alabama and trashed NFL athletes who kneel during the National Anthem.
Trump continued his feud against the sports world today by yanking Stephen Curry‘s invitation to the White House, after the NBA champion said he didn’t want to go meet the president. Trump went on to say later that anyone who wants the “privilege” of playing in the NFL should be forbidden from taking a knee during the anthem.
Hill followed all of this, and it seems she’s not going to start talking positively about the president any time soon:
Hey @StephenCurry30, welcome to the club bro ?

We have the best NBA player in the world calling 45 a “bum” & one of the best NFL RBs calling him an a-hole. What. A. Time.

Earlier this month, Hill faced the White House’s anger and pro-Trump outrage after she called the president a white supremacist. Trump himself responded by demanding an apology from ESPN, and Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Hill’s comments were a “fireable offense.”
