NRA Spox Dana Loesch Tears Into Reporters Who Tweeted She Said ‘Fist,’ Not ‘Fisk’
NRA spokeswoman Dana Loesch said the word “fisk” in a video. Some people on Twitter think she said “fist.”
So that’s how Friday’s going.
Let’s back up a second. @NRATV tweeted out part of a video they made a while back of Loesch going after The New York Times and saying the following:

“We’re going to fisk the New York Times and find out just what deep rich means to this old gray hag.”
Now, if you’re not familiar with the term “fisking,” Urban Dictionary helpfully explains, “The word is derived from articles written by Robert Fisk that were easily refuted, and refers to a point-by-point debunking of lies and/or idiocies.”
But some people heard “fist” instead (maybe due to the #ClenchedFistofTruth hashtag [UPDATE: Loesch tweeted later that it’s the title for the ad series]) and thought she was talking about fisting the Times. Loesch––who talks in that very video about media dishonesty––slammed the reporters who spread that around:
