Obama’s Nobel Prize Money Not Going to ACORN or CongressDaily

video

obamachangeWhite House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs is pretty good with a comeback, so cracking wise with him is always a dicey proposition. At today’s White House Press Briefing, there was a pricelessly awkward moment when, after Christina Bellantoni asked  Gibbs what the President is going to do with his Nobel Prize winnings, a reporter from CongressDaily made a comment worthy of those “Would you please pass the jelly?” commercials.

QUESTION: Can you explain how the president is deciding what to do with the Nobel Prize money? Is he talking to different charities? He said he was going to give it to charity. Will that be more than one? Will the foundations…

GIBBS: He mentioned specifically to me on Friday that the money would be donated to charity. There will be a process to evaluate that from his perspective. I assume it will be many different charities. But he has not told me or anybody else here the specifics of what that — what those might be.

QUESTION: Is there a timeline? Does he want to have it in place by the time he goes to accept the award or before that?

GIBBS: I have not talked to him about that, but I can.

QUESTION (From Congress Daily reporter): I assume we can rule out ACORN as a recipient.

(LAUGHTER)

GIBBS: And a lifetime subscription to “Congress Daily.”

Tommy actually wrote an article where he didn’t insert himself in it.

Also find it funny about Gibbs being great with a comeback. Gibbs has been the worst press secretary at least in the past 30 years. He’s been abysmal.

It’s a shame that when doing a story about Obama and charity, it wasn’t mentioned how CHEAP he and and his VP have been when it comes to giving to charities. Before he began his Presidential run, look how cheap Obama was at giving to the needy/church etc. Pathetic. Biden is even much worse. Just like Al Gore and numerous other Democrats. They are great spenders of other peoples money but when it comes to giving away their OWN money, that’s a different story.

    video

After 95 episodes, the epic failure known as The Jay Leno Show airs its final episode tonight. Of course, Leno himself will be back after the Olympics, comfortably at 11:35pm all over again. Which was pretty much the problem to begin with - the 10pm offering started as a similar product to the Tonight Show, and only became more like the old format as time went on.
