Romney Hits Back at Trump During Debate: Is He ‘Scared’ to Release Tax Returns?

During tonight’s CNN Republican debate, Donald Trump insulted Mitt Romney multiple times, and Romney hit back on Twitter tonight.

Romney said yesterday that Trump should release his tax returns because there’s a “bombshell” in there.

At the debate, Trump said Romney lost an election that should have been easy for him to win. Trump even brought up Romney releasing his own returns late and said, “It cost him bigly.”

Oh, and Trump hedged on releasing his own returns.

This is how Romney responded:

No legit reason @realDonaldTrump can't release returns while being audited, but if scared, release earlier returns no longer under audit.
