There have been a number of things that Paul has argued during the course of the campaign that I can sympathize with — particularly his hard line against corporate welfare. But his economic proposals are downright Darwinian and he advocates that we simply walk away from most of our international commitments, which would have devastating consequences to our interests around the globe.

As polls show, Paul is way too radical for the vast majority of voters, and frankly, he’s never issued a satisfactory explanation for those racist newsletters. It shows that either he was irresponsible about what got published under his name or else he’s lying today about the despicable views he held — and promoted — not so long ago.

Either way, when combined with most of his questionable campaign positions, Paul has demonstrated that he simply isn’t qualified to be president.

It easy to say “Walking away from our international commitments would be devastating.” but you have not provided any meat on the reason why or why not. The United States is not entitled to anything beyond it’s own borders, and the assumption that we are is what has gotten America into so much trouble around the world.

You say that we have commitments overseas, the reason America has these commitments is for doing exactly what the constitution warned us against and that was getting involved in entangling alliances that we have no business being involved in. Our government is supposed to be committed to the civil liberties and prosperity of the People of the United States, not enriching dictators of foreign nations.

What so many of us fail to understand is that America is broke and we have people in our own country suffering because of it. And as long as even 1 single American is suffering the loss of his/her god given right to a free and prosperous life not one dime of any tax payers money should leave the shores of the United States to help any country.

We need to fix America first and foremost, get our own house in order and stop the suffering of our own people here at home.

I am what is left of the American middle class and am watching it be pissed away by politicians that think it is more important to worry about the borders between Afghanistan and Pakistan than fixing our economy here at home and returning the American dream back to the people of this once great nation.

Alcohol kills more people in the U.S. than all the drugs combined, lets make alcohol illegal also and see how that goes over. Oh, we tried that once and it didn’t work either. If marijuana and drugs are made legal, is everyone going to run out and use them ? The people that are looking for drugs now will find them sooner or later, even if they are illegal. People drank illegal alcohol during  prohibition until the government realized how much tax money they were losing. Jesus even drank alcohol. The government has no business in your house or what you do in your house, we are not in a communist state yet. Outlawing drugs has increased crime just like outlawing alcohol did during prohibition. People are responsible for their actions, we don’t need a nanny state to tell us what to do. I personally have never used drugs and never will, but as long as an addict doesn’t bother me, I have no objections to what someone else does. It’s called minding your own business.

The latest polls show Paul doing best amoung the GOP and against Obama in Iowa.  He beats Obama 49-42.  Not exactly “too radical” for most Americans.  He is the only candidate on both sides who is against war and corporate bailouts.  And he is the only candidate who has tried to stop the Patriot Act and NDAA in an attempt to save our civil liberties.  Crazy!

Actually, it is both parties moving toward the same thing (tyranny) from different directions. Ron Paul is a Republican because it is the only one of the two false parties that still has a few people remaining who want to restore the Constitution.

Fascism is nothing more than state intervention in the private economy, that is, picking winners and losers through tax breaks and subsidies. The government has no role in business except for protecting free trade and the Constitution does not give it any power other than that. The existing system is a perversion.

Fascist states where economic manipulation already occurs is also usually ripe for police state antics as well. The two things are still separate, and if you re-read Paul’s statement, he does exactly that.
