Sarah Palin: If I Were President ‘Waterboarding Is How We’d Baptize Terrorists’

If Sarah Palin were president, the former Vice Presidential candidate announced at the National Rifle Association’s “Stand and Fight Rally” Sunday afternoon, a whole bunch of things would be different, starting with the United States’ queasy relationship with torture.

“If I were in charge,” Palin said, “[America’s enemies] would know that waterboarding is how we baptize terrorists.”

Palin also snarked at former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Attorney General Eric Holder, before also taking a shot (sigh) at Vice President Joe Biden for his advice that assailants can be deterred by firing a shotgun into the air.

“Just aim up in the air — that was his directive, his advice,” Palin replied. “Well, fine, Joe Squirt Gun, if your rapist is a bird.”
