Soundbite: Balls Are Family
“You are my son and you came from my balls and you should have known better.”
— Colombo crime-family soldier Frank “Frankie Camp” Campione, as quoted in today’s New York Post, which has excerpts from an angry letter Campione wrote to his son for ratting him out to the Feds. Campione wrote the letter from prison after being arrested in June 2008 in what the Post called “a sweeping FBI roundup of dozens of organized-crime members, including acting Colombo boss Thomas “Tommy Shots” Gioeli.” Guess the advice in the letter didn’t do much good; Campione’s son, Michael, handed it over to authorities and it was submitted into evidence yesterday for use at Campione’s sentencing trial.
