Spicer Defends Trump, Who Frequently Criticized Obama Golf Trips, For Playing Nearly 50 Percent More Than Obama
Before he assumed office, President Donald Trump frequently criticized President Barack Obama for what he deemed to be too many golf trips on the taxpayers’ dime.
President Obama has a major meeting on the N.Y.C. Ebola outbreak, with people flying in from all over the country, but decided to play golf!

We pay for Obama’s travel so he can fundraise millions so Democrats can run on lies. Then we pay for his golf.

Can you believe that, with all of the problems and difficulties facing the U.S., President Obama spent the day playing golf.Worse than Carter

But since he took office on Jan. 20, Trump himself has hit the links at least 10 times. According to CBS White House correspondent Mark Knoller, Obama played 333 rounds of golf while in office. That works out to one round every 8.77 days. Trump’s 10 rounds in 60 days puts him well ahead of Obama’s pace. He plays nearly 50 percent more often, once every six days.
During Monday’s White House press briefing, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer was asked about the Trump’s constant trips to the links. Spicer defended the President.
“It’s the same reason he can have dinner or lunch with somebody,” Spicer said. “I think the president is entitled to a bit of privacy at some point, which is what we’ve always agreed to. We bring the protective pool to be there. But the president’s also entitled to a bit of privacy as well.”
