The NYPD earlier said the suspect was 29:
The driver of the truck, a male 29-years-old, was taken into custody. A paintball gun and pellet gun were recovered from the scene.

The suspect has been taken into custody by police after plowing a truck through a bike path, leaving 8 dead and more injured.
