For those wondering, Tom Ricks — who had a rather brief interview on Fox News after openly criticizing the network during his appearance — isn’t a fan of MSNBC either. Ricks told the Washington Post that the “Lean Forward” network had also invited him on, but declined.
WaPo‘s Melinda Henneberger reported:
When I talked to him Tuesday, he said yeah, actually, he had had some other TV invites, but we shouldn’t waste too much time clicking around looking for his next appearance: “MSNBC invited me, but I said, ‘You’re just like Fox, but not as good at it.’ They wrote back and said, ‘Thank you for your candor.’”
However, Ricks did recently appear on MSNBC. He was a guest on Up w/ Chris Hayes on November 18, during a discussion about the scandal surrounding David Petraeus. — which Hayes pointed out on Twitter. He was
Ricks, you may recall, garnered attention during his interview on Fox News, when he said the network “hyped” the Benghazi attack and was operating as a “wing of the Republican Party.”
But the story didn’t end there. Following that appearance, Fox executive Michael Clemente said Ricks had apologized for the criticism. Ricks denied making any such apology — prompting Clemente to issue another response, saying Ricks was being dishonest.
