BREAKING: Trump Has Reportedly Decided to Oust McMaster as National Security Adviser

So if Rex Tillerson wasn’t enough for one week, President Trump has apparently decided to get rid of another high-profile administration figure.

The Washington Post reports tonight that Trump has “decided” to dump National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster and is currently looking at possible replacements:

Trump is now comfortable with ousting McMaster, with whom he never personally gelled, but is willing to take time executing the move because he wants to ensure both that the three-star Army general is not humiliated and that there is a strong successor lined up, these people said.

The turbulence is part of a broader potential shake-up under consideration by Trump that is likely to include senior officials at the White House, where staffers are gripped by fear and uncertainty as they await the next move from an impulsive president who enjoys stoking conflict.

McMaster has been rumored for a while to be on the outs, with similar reporting recently about other administration officials and Cabinet members.

The national security adviser made strong remarks today denouncing Russia and calling for further action to be taken against them for complicity in Syrian atrocities.

“The Russian government has bombed civilian areas and provided political cover for Assad’s crimes,” he said.

Oh, and McMaster may not be the end of it, because “staffers are gripped by fear and uncertainty as they await the next move from an impulsive president who enjoys stoking conflict.”

UPDATE –– 10:15 pm ET: Fox News’ John Roberts is reporting that this may not happen:
