Last week President Barack Obama presented a new plan to reinvigorate a stagnant economy and provide jobs for record unemployed with bill set to inject nearly $500 million into stalled engine that is the U.S. economy. This morning, he intends to give the “American Jobs Act” a proper political and media send-off by discussing this plan during a speech in the White House Rose Garden. Via the advances in streaming video technology, you can watch this live on your computer. I know…Amazing!

    You mean campaign speech.

  • JohnJGuy

Good luck trying to get it done Mr President.

I’m sure they’ll be a lot of staunch vocal opposition, but eventually sound and careful reason will give way. It’s a bill that is required right now for boosting jobs and the unemployed.

What ?  I told you to PASS  THE BILL !

Junior Hoffa told me I had to straighten out you sons  of bitches .

Obama should have the Village People in the audience to represent jobs .

Remember when he had doctors gathered  to listen to him talk ?

And you knew they were doctors because they passed out white coats for them  to wear .

As was the failed porkulous money laundering scheme to Unions.

What part of “Government does not create jobs” do Liberals not understand?

It’s the Governments job to create a jobs frendly enviroment so businesses will hire……the problem is we have the least friendly jobs President in our History.

The best thing to get our economy growing again is to throw the incompetent community organizer out of office and hire someone who actually has experience creating jobs!!

  • keke

Whatever it was it was definitely positive things that our country needs

Hedge fund managers 5 minutes before the president started speaking: SELL SELL SELL

  • RACE BAITING@6 RESIST WE MUCH!

Was that a park detective behind him? He must be there to find the bill

  • keke

Thats how jobs are created through community support and community investments. We are people before any type of political party name. What are you doing in your own area instead on waiting for the next negative statement in your brain to hit your lips.

Watch Obama give another speech?  Sorry, but I’ve got better thing to do with my time than listen to him review his “Union Jobs Plan” from the other night.  With all the crap in it, you might as well use it to fertilize those pretty roses out there in the garden.

I own my own business, I’m trying to keep my employees employed in this Obama-economy. Obama is part of the problem and until he gets thrown out our economy will not recover.

“It is fully paid for. Let me repeat, it’s fully paid for.”
    You LIE!

No, thanks. Can’t stand to look at Obama or listen to him. 2012 can’t come soon enough.

  • keke

I own a business as well and our family has worked hard to keep employees employed long before Obama was in office. Im sure we can trace back our economical issues for years, but we the average american doesn’t hear about it until the stuff hits the fan, I truly believe these issue would have risen  no matter what President would have been in office.

  • keke

what part is crap…. children need better schools….EVERYONE should pay their fair share of taxes…vets can’t find jobs…

  • Ajolily

More stimulus is not a positive thing. Even the things he added to fake being non-partisan are things that are not working. We need real solutions not the tired out ideas that have already not worked. Throwing money at the problem as described by Democrats (entitlements) or by Republicans (tax cuts) has not worked. We need serious solutions that get the government out of the way of business without allowing them (business) to ramrod the people. IMO this means simplification of most everything. Simplify the tax code, simplify the regulations. The second thing would be accountability. Accountability of government and the people. Eligibility rules that are enforced from voting to immigration to entitlements. One thing Obama talks about that is right is tax dodges. Loopholes should be closed as well as pork in congress. Thing is the politicians only want to stop the pork of the other side.

  • keke

I agree with you,no matter what direction he takes people are going to be angry. I really feel he is trying his best to come up with a solution that will benefit everyone. We have to work together, but people like you and others with valid points are not what we get to hear.

  • keke

what are you going to do if he is voted back in? He has alot of support

if he’s voted back in ,this country will fall just like the middle east.

  • Anonymous

so he didn’t want to wait to have the bill in his hand (which all you libpussies said it wasn’t his job to write legislation) before he spoke to a joint session of congress? then he brings it out less than a week later. shows it was just a stunt to disrupt the debate…

  • Ajolily

Thank you but we do disagree on Obama. I don’t think he is doing his best to help this country or that he wants to find a solution that will benefit everyone. He came into office as the market fell out from under us and all he was interested in was his healthcare plan and not in helping us get back on our feet. Now that it is campaign time he wants to talk about jobs. Where has he been for 2 ½ years?

  • TruDat

Rush’s is calling it “Barry’s got a Bill”.

  • JohnJGuy

It is the Arab Spring you’re referring to isn’t it?

….then surely you mean become more emphasis on Democracy with more respect for women and individual choices!

…Perhaps there’s another Arab Spring currently underway.

  • Ajolily

It is typical Washington crap to rob one fund to pay another. A committee was just tasked with finding ways to address the deficit and already our President wants to redirect any monies that committee can come up with to address a different project other than the deficit. Washington can not keep up this slight of hand! You can’t keep opening new credit cards to pay off the old ones.

Actually the government does create jobs- federal jobs have outpace the private sector since Obama took office.  Labor stats: The private sector has lost 7.5 million jobs or 6.6% while the public-sector/government jobs rate has risen by 11.7% 230,000 new hires and counting. Last check there were around 22,000 government jobs posted many of them with 6-figure salaries. Nice huh- I am glad my tax dollars are supporting the need for a water specialist in Malawi, instead of a small US business owner.
One sector substantiates and pays for the other, the higher the % of public sector jobs the higher the unemployment rate. You cannot have growth in both areas in a recession and one cannot grow exponentially without the other shrinking. If Obama is really serious, this Bill should be only directed at stimulating the private sector, then our country will begin to see job growth that will affect our local economy. I would love to read it- has it been posted online on the WH website yet?

Ajolily! You aren’t allowed to call it a “Stimulus” Bill- you must have missed the memo! It’s “Made in America’ investment repeat… investment not stimulus.
    ~ good post.

Everyone should pay their fair share in taxes?  OK, so when do the nearly 45% of the American households who paid NO federal income taxes in 2010 start paying their share?  Come on, if you mean everyone, well then damn it – let’s mean everyone.  How about the 90% of households with below $20,000 in income?  Should they have to pay their fair share?

And of the schools – why is the federal government paying for school contruction and modification when they are managed and maintained by local city and county governments.  Why aren’t THEY paying for these programs and not stiffing taxpayers at the national level for local issues?  More liberal platitudes, full of “feel-goodism” horseshit, nothing more.

    475BILLION

looks more election symbolism than true results oriented effort

    madmadmad at inequality in America

  • Hagen619dj

True enough.  He is only campaigning. I’m sorry, but he isn’t trustworthy any longer.  He is out for himself and his party and the people that have paid his way through all of this. Maybe we’ll get lucky and another democrat will challenge him in the primary. That would set a whole new different type of situation. He will be challenged to tell the truth for a change.
