What’s Up With Ryan Gosling’s Creepy New Wax Figure?
Today, Ryan Gosling was nominated for a Best Actor Oscar for his work in La La Land. Unfortunately, we don’t have time to talk about that right now because Madame Tussaud’s in Berlin revealed his new wax figure was revealed today, and it’s pretty creepy.
It looks nothing like him, and something is just not right. Interestingly, Gosling’s first wax figure, which lives at Madame Tussaud’s in London, is perfect.
Needless to say, the media ant Twitter users alike are not pleased with the figure. GQ notes that it “lacks Gosling’s signature je ne sais quoi.” MTV says the figure will “shake your soul.” NBC New York says the actor looks “strange.” Mashable says “There is something awry here. Something sinister. And it’s not just Wax Gosling’s extremely boring outfit.” Uproxx points out that it “Won’t be inspiring any ‘Hey girl’ memes.” Esquire has called it a “Vast injustice to his handsomeness.”
Then, there’s Twitter. There are lots of strong reactions there as well.
