VidMe Releases Pro-Freedom Ad Mocking YouTube Censorship

Video hosting site Vidme created an advertisement mocking its competitor YouTube for its new policy stripping creators of any ad revenue if their videos contain “controversial content” or “strong language.”

“Vidme doesn’t censor content for bad language or controversial subject matter,” reads the ad’s description. “We like weird.”

The ad features an aerial shot of The Statute of Liberty set to a rock rendition of The Star Spangled Banner (sorry, Kaepernick). “Give us your f*cking profanity, your goddamn sexual humor, your huddled masses yearning to post freely,” flashes across the screen.

“START YOUR F*CKING AWESOME CHANNEL TODAY,” reads the final shot, over an image of a waving American flag.
