New York Daily News Continues Big Week With Newest ‘F-U’ Cruz-Bashing Cover
The New York Daily News is having a hot week, fresh off of a contentious interview with Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders that many have exposed key flaws in the proposed policies of the self-identified Democratic Socialist. Today the News is back at it again, earning headlines in its own right for the newest installment of the New-Yorkers-Hate-Ted-Cruz saga.
You may remember that in February the Daily News delivered a blistering blow to the Texas Senator after his infamous “values” flap that featured Lady Liberty flipping off Cruz in no uncertain terms. And this week, as the attention in both parties shifts to the Empire State ahead of the state-wide primary, the tabloid took another shot at Cruz’s recent campaigning in the Bronx:

Cruz had a rough go of things in the Bronx on Wednesday, getting booed and yelled out by diner goers in front of the media. A group of high school students at the Bronx Lighthouse College Preparatory Academy threatened a walkout over the Texas Senator’s planned remarks as well.
The New York Primary is on Tuesday April 19, and Cruz is hoping to finally do some damage by eating up a chunk of the state’s 95 delegates in the Republican party. However, he faces a steep uphill battle against hometown favorite Donald Trump, who currently has a 31 point lead according to RCP. Covers like the one the Daily News put out Thursday are not going to help his chances with the New York electorate.
