700 Club host Pat Robertson was utterly flummoxed over a Thanksgiving food item discussed by co-host Kristi Watts during an interview with former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. “What is this Mac and Cheese, is that a black thing?” Robertson asked in bewilderment.

There are probably fewer things scarier in life than an ultra-serious bald man with glasses popping up on a futuristic video conference screen and telling you that you’ve been exposed to a fatal poison and you’re all going to die. But that’s what happened in October 2001, when Dick Cheney showed up on the secure line, sharing the bad news. Condoleezza Rice recounted the incident Tuesday on Nightline to ABC’s George Stephanopoulos.

As the Herman Cain sexual harassment allegations continue to monopolize the news cycle, allegations, particularly from conservatives, that the allegations are race-based continue to fly. On CBS today, however, one prominent black conservative went out of her way to warn that race was not the way to fight these claims. In an interview with The Early Show, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice weighed in, expressing disgust at the entire idea of talking about race at all. “I don’t care much for incendiary language,” she sighed, warning that “it’s not good for the country” for anyone– left or right– to “play the race card.”

It must have been a weird few months for Condoleezza Rice. Back in August, it was discovered that former Libyan leader Muammar al Gaddafi had kept a photo album dedicated to the former Secretary of State at his compound. Now, in the wake of his death, Rice has offered the Daily Beast an inside glimpse into her uncomfortable meeting with the eccentric dictator.

On Tuesday afternoon rebels invaded Muammar Gaddafi‘s compound, extracting many strange and opulent artifacts that seemed to perfectly symbolize a peculiar dictator (and in some cases donning golden military caps for interviews with Western media.) But one of the strangest items found was a photo album containing images of former Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice.

Former Secretary of State  Condoleezza Rice, followed up her smash-mouth Lawrence O’Donnell interview with a more cordial appearance on Sunday morning’s Fareed Zakaria GPS, and while she was far more gracious than former Bush Chief of Staff Andy Card (who accused President Obama of “pound(ing) his chest” over the Osama bin Laden slaying)

On Thursday night’s The Last Word, host Lawrence O’Donnell conducted an intense interview with former Secretary of State  Condoleezza Rice, challenging her on what many consider the Bush administration’s detour into Iraq, away from the hunt for Osama bin Laden. Rice was among the Bush administration officials who tried to establish a link between bin Laden and Saddam Hussein, a link they later backed away from.

Alec Baldwin’s character on 30 Rock, Jack Donaghy, is an uber-conservative with the history with the Bush administration. He even briefly worked as the “Homeland Security Director for Crisis and Weather Management” before becoming disillusioned and trying to get fired by approving a “gay bomb” (Totally true. See for yourself. It’s on Netflix) However, it turns out he also has a romantic history with one of the key figures; Condoleezza Rice. During last night’s episode, Rice cameoed as herself in a hilarious scene in which Donaghy apologizes for breaking up with her via text message.

Her debt to America paid, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is having a bit of fun in the post-Bush era, having just finished filming a cameo appearance for the NBC comedy 30 Rock. Rice, who had been repeatedly referred to on the program as the Alec Baldwin character Jack Doneghy’s ex-girlfriend, will be arriving in his office soon, though no word on what her role there will be.

Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has kept a low profile since her throne was abdicated to Hillary Clinton, but that all changed last night when she teamed up with legendary songstress Aretha Franklin for a soulful jam session.

Considering the “Randslide”, the departure of 30-year veteran Senator Arlen Specter, and the fact that Chris Matthews was waxing poetic about the primaries way past midnight, this was a pretty uneventful Election Day, gaffe-wise. “Culture wars” are a common topic on the O’Reilly Factor, but rarely does it get so personal as to call out fellow news anchors — but not last night. Monica Crowley, subbing for host Bill O’Reilly, quickly reminded viewers why she’s so popular with her conservative base. Last night, she went after Katie Couric, asking if Couric’s comments about an “angry nation” represented and “elite left-wing media looking down on Americans.” And that was just the beginning. When Chris Brown told Larry King that he didn’t remember brutally beating Rihanna, he seemed like a man unwilling to take any responsibility for his terrible actions.

Still, Brown was in the tradition of a long line of American politicians who’ve used the same line to get out of trouble. Given the number of conservatives who’ve used this particular tactic, we have to wonder: is Chris Brown a closet Republican?
