Chris Matthews Grumbles Over Boring ‘Threesome Of Death’ Romney, Pawlenty And Huntsman

Video

Chris Matthews lamented the “boring” Republican field with his political strategists and concluded that Republicans are desperate for someone new whenever they look at Mitt Romney. Yet Romney wasn’t the only Republican in Matthews’ crosshairs, as the other two serious candidates Tim Pawlenty and Jon Huntsman were all lumped together and affectionately described by Matthews as the “threesome of death.”

Matthews went after Romney for being insincere all of the time. During an interview, Romney declared President Obama to be a failure who deserves an “F” as a grade for his job thus far. Matthews analyzed Romney’s response and determined that Romney gave that response with as little passion as someone who is “answering a crossword puzzle.” Looking around at other rumored candidates who are potentially thinking about entering the race, Matthews declared Texas Governor Rick Perry was “vacant intellectually” and Matthews admitted “I always disliked this guy . . . I don’t take him seriously as a person.”

In the end, Matthews wondered “is there any hope for humanity in my business” as he was still optimistic there could be a wild west shootout for the Republican nomination. Yet with Congresswoman Michele Bachmann close to making her candidacy official, Matthews is aware his despair might be premature. And in a one-on-one match between Bachmann and Romney, Matthews was unafraid to go out on a limb and predict that Bachmann wins, because “she’s real” and he’s not.

Huntsman is a better man and probably and certainly more honest spiritually than Romney.

More in your head than in the news, Big Petty.

Regardless what Matthews says, Romney is a deeply flawed candidate. I mean the guy was a liberal governor from Massachusetts for one term. He has run away from most everything he believed as governor. His efforts to defend Romneycare while criticizing Obamacare are terrible. Forget about his pathetic defense that the individual mandate is fine for his state but not the rest of the country, I saw him recently comparing the actual size of the bills as one positive difference of his health care plan over the president’s. Very sad to compare the size of a national health care plan versus one designed for a single state. The guy has no humor or charisma. The GOP seriously needs to take a look at someone else because Romney is not going to beat Obama.

    My show is absolutely non-partisan.

Chris “I have an Obama shaped tingle running up my leg and into my nether regions” Matthews.

Chris Matthews drinking problem is really showing lately. Hey msnbc, your viewers want real political news and not the daily comedy routine from all your talking idiots. FOX News and CNN are adult, mature and real news organizations. msnbc should be on ‘ONLY’ during Saturday morning cartoons. Chris Matthews is such a joke that I am surprised Comcast has not brought him in to have a little talk…hint, hint, hint.

I wish Matthews would stop with the “boring candidate” point he’s been flogging to death. I don’t give a rip if a candidate is exciting. I care if he or she can do the job. Matthews seems to put political theater ahead of governance. Running for president isn’t a game for the public’s amusement; we’re electing the leader of the free world.

The Repubs should draft the “Old Spice Guy”.
Tingle’s legs would be shaking so hard and fast that he’d have a stroke.

I can understand Chris’s concern. These serious candidates on the Right pose a big problem to MSNBC. The network’s whole shtick is to demonize and ridicule opponents and ignore big issues, like the economy and unemployment. A serious Republican candidate will invariably talk about the issues, and since MSNBC has vowed to hide these very subjects, Matthews would be in quite a dilemma.

If they can’t ridicule, the MSNBC hosts are in a huge bind — since that’s the only game they know how to play. It’s the only game they are authorized to play. It’s the only game the ultra-far left kool aid drinkers want to see them play.

But don’t underestimate MSNBC’s ability to avoid discussion of the economy, unemployment, the national debt and all the major issues all the way to election day 2012. So expect more mudslinging, gotcha and bizarre cat-and-mouse games with Michele Bachmann from Mr. Matthews over the next 18 months.

I have to say, Chris Matthews is starting to really age fast. He really looks old these days. As crazy and goofy as he acts on his ‘Softball’ show makes one wonder just what is going on. Pressure from very low ratings? The heavy drinking? Prescribed medicines which certain ones do age you due to drying out of your skin, membranes and from the sound of Chris the past 18 months, his brain seems to be drying up too. Chris shoulld go on vacation, like go around the world in 80 days followed up with 18 months of bed rest before he gets back on the airwaves. Seriously, he looks like Ed Schultz does….candidates for heart attacks. After Tim Russert’s heart attack inside of the Washington newsroom of NBC about 3 years ago you’d think that Chris Matthews, Ed Schultz and even angry old Lawrence O’Donnell would take better care of themselves. A long vacation would be my advice for all 3.

They want good candidates, not good leaders. At least these three guys have experience in governance before running for president.

The nonsense here is sureal. Matthews is an absolute joke. So easily predictable even a meathead like me knew it was gonna happen, anyone with an R after his name will be attacked, justified or not. In this case it’s Gov Perry that is “Vacant intellectually.” What a total farse. No reason, no explanation, no justification. He’s just “vacant intellectually” and you need to vote for Obama.

A liberal could go a long way in admitting Matthews is a moron here. Just saying.

And “Boring?” You can be boring and still be right on what matters, like the issues. That goes for left or right. “Boring” is really scraping the bottom of the barrel, isn’t it? When liberals focus on “boring,” what they are saying is “We have absolutley nothing negative to say about this individual.” But amazingly and simultaneously, liberals will attack others for not being “intellectual.”

So lets review: Liberals ignorantly and falsly attack people for not having a “mental capacity of a higher degree” with an argument thats totally lacking a “mental capacity of a higher degree.” If this is hard to understand for the libs on here, give it time, re-read it, maybe shut off backround noise, and it will eventually hit you i’m sure.

Hey Chrissy, haven’t you realized it yet? You are irrelevant.

The narrative is no longer being created by the leftwing hacks the likes of you.

Don’t you have a bus to chase? The MSM has now become a pack of wild dogs!

Don’t conflate Matthews’ stupid fixation on politcal entertainment with liberalism. That’s not an ideological trait, it’s a personality trait that could apply to anyone. Not to get in the way of partisan bashin’, but believe it or not, liberals — oops, “libs” — don’t all think alike.

Sounds kinda like the “All terrorist are muslims but not all muslims terrorist” argument. All libs do not think alike but it’s all libs that are whining about Palins bus tour.

Not sure where you stand so just saying, dont get me wrong. If your an Obama supporter, why wouldn’t her time as a senator be sufficient if Obamas was?
