What Chris says on his show pales in comparison to the things Rush and Beck say and sometimes I wonder why it draws so much attention here.
Granted he puts his foot in his mouth sometimes but he is not the classic bomb thrower that others are.
He’s knowledgeable, excitable and he has fun doing his job. He loves politics and he laughs a lot at the absurdity of it, on both sides.
When do ever you see Rush or Beck or Lawrence O’Donnell laugh except when they are mocking someone?

Did anybody watch Chris Matthews in the end of the late 90′s and early 2000′s. This guy was not the president of the Clinton/Gore fanclub and even voted for George W.Bush in 2000. The same with Bill Maher who voted for Dole in 96 and Nader in 2000.

Both these guys so called move to the left is mostly due to the move to the far right by the GOP. If the Republicans were the party of people like John Huntsman and the Maine senators I don’t think he would be bashing them as much.

One thing I cannot stand about Chris Matthews! He’ll ask a guest a question and before the guest gets two words out Matthews either does one of two things. He asks the guy another question or answer the question for the guy. Man I hate that. That is so annoying. I don’t think I honestly ever heard him let a guest answer a question without interrupting the guy before he has one sentence out… Other than that I think Matthews is great.
