I think it looks bad for the President that all he wants to do is go on vacation.

    Remove them all………..

You think President Obama is the one who looks bad in all of this? I guess you haven’t followed this story much. Even Republicans are going in on the House Republicans over this one.

“This new development comes hours after Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell proposed a short-term extension of the tax holiday in an attempt to compromise which put pressure on House GOP leaders.”

Guess who’s making the transition from House GOP members’ Xmas list to sh^t list. Hint: It’s not the Mitch from Baywatch.

GOP screwed the pooch on this one.  They have just highlighted the inevitable contradiction in their theory that 1. ending tax cuts is a tax increase (see Norquist) and 2. that reductions in tax revenue (aka ‘cuts’) ‘ pay for themselves!’ (see Regan and ‘trickle-down).

Now when they come back the highlight will be on the fact that GOPers in the house are basically out of control – they cannot even allow a vote to pass a bi-partisan bill that had already passed the Senate by a vast majority.

They better start a few wars or hope Obama sentences a bus full of nuns to death for being terrorists cause they are completely exposed on this and in an election year!

Awwww…poor little teabaggers, their latest tantrum didn’t work.

Total, 100%, unconditional surrender. Eric has had a bad hair day, Johnny, so you had better watch your back.

Buffy suffers from the Teabag delusion syndrome. The only known cure is four more years of Obama.

“They have just highlighted the inevitable contradiction in their theory
that 1. ending tax cuts is a tax increase (see Norquist)”

Exactly.  Congressional GOP leaders were vocal opponents of ending subsidies for oil companies and called them a tax, and got what they wanted.

A Christmas miracle would be Marcus Bachmann converting to heterosexuality.

anybody with any political knowledge should have known there was NO WAY this tax cut would not be extended. This is an obvious outcome. The headline should simply be, “The political game of chicken has finally ended”.

Looks like too much pressure was put on Boehner!! Now he’s going to have to bend like a wet noodle!!

  • Gloves Y. Donahue

Now Barry and Bo can head out. From what I’ve heard, the dog should get frequent flyer miles.

  • Anonymous

I see Gloves that like Cantor, you are bringing President Obama’s dog into the mix. When you look at it that way, I guess you could say it was a battle between Obama’s dog and Boehner’s goat.

  • Anonymous

Which Republicans would those be? Establishment Rs? Ha!

    Enjoy 2012.

  • Anonymous

Agreed. What will the media talk about now?

  • Anonymous

The dog? You really are running out of spin. A halfway honest person would just fly the white flag.

Social Security is bankrupt and by 2035 either tax rates on mid america incomes will have to go up to 45% or social security benefits will have to be slashed by 40%.

What do the Democrats want to continue to keep doing?  Rob some more out of Social Security to pay people to lazy to go get jobs almost 2 years after they last held one.

Social Security is bankrupt and the whiners in this nation are insisting they keep their payroll tax cut which only bankrupts Social Security sooner.

Now we can borrow more from China to let people that don’t want to work get another 26 weeks of unemployment pay.

R’s like Karl Rove who actually have experience winning a presidential election, as much as I might not like him. Establishment R’s, lol. Is that the new RINO? So who aren’t Establishment R’s, the Palin’s and Trump’s of the world? LOL.

  • Anonymous

Well for the short term, Speaker Boehner is going to speak in a few minutes. Should be interesting.

  • Anonymous

If Obama was White, would he have won? Interesting thought to ponder.

Rove is establishment. Thanks for proving my point. You make such silly statements. And you are so bored that you constantly talk to me despite your distaste for me and my support of Palin.

    Love me some Palin!

    You keep responding to me.

    Zzzzzzzzzz ………

A Republican compromise made under duress…

…Well, they found puckering up isn’t too bad before Christmas!

Now they can all go off to see Dicken’s Scrooge.

“If Obama was White, would he have won?”

Ask the 43 white guys elected to office before him. Nice of you to show your racist side in defeat though.

“Rove is establishment. Thanks for proving my point. You make such silly statements.”

Was there some sort of confusion on your part? Yes Rove is establishment. I wasn’t trying to disagree with that. It is possible for us to agree on somethings. It goes to show your own silliness that you would take a minor agreement as some sort of victory. The point you fail to take away is that the establishment Republican has actually overseen successful Presidential election efforts, unlike your hero Sarah.

“And you are so bored that you constantly talk to me despite your distaste for me and my support of Palin.”

This conversation is happening because you responded to my comment. How sad you must be to create this fantasy in your head that men on the internet are obsessed with you. If you don’t want people talking to you, keep your ass out of the comments section, stop making stupid comments that will provoke reaction, and most importantly stop initiating conversation with people you don’t want talking to you.

    “Love me some Palin! ”

Many people view Palin as a symbol of stupidity, so that figures.

    Democrats?
Republican say they are all in on this tax cut too.

    Are they liars?

This cave in can now be seen from space. Orange Man needs to get his house in order and do it soon or he’ll be joining the ranks of the unemployed. Those teabaggers are going to be out for blood and Cantor will be waiting in the wings to drive the GetObamaParty crazy train off the rails.

  • 12voltman1

    stuck up eh?

  • 12voltman1

Will you ever have something new or at least funny to say?

  • 12voltman1

    Hey Buffy. Guess what?
FYI…The President does not control Congress!

lol I met W’s personal Sec. while he was in office and I assure you there were Always dog treats available for the President (she said it was the one thing he was adamant about with her).

Guess when you are President your dog turns out to be your one true friend!
