CNN Apologizes for Unfortunate Putin-‘Jihadi John’ Graphics Error

CNN has apologized after it erroneously displayed a photo of Russian President Vladimir Putin during a Saturday segment about “Jihadi John,” the ISIS executioner who appears in the terrorist group’s videos and was recently identified.

“Due to a failure of a video server during today’s breaking news broadcast, a photo of Vladimir Putin, prepared for our next report, was accidentally shown,” a CNN spokesman told the Russian Tass news agency. “We apologize for that mistake.”
