CNN’s Campbell Brown’s Emotional Reaction To Haiti Story
Television people are an extremely cynical type. They will see through the biggest line of BS, mostly because its familiar territory. But the story unfolding in Haiti has transcended skepticism – the stories and imagery of destruction and destroyed families have brought the cable news world news to its knees. And when video of sick or troubled child appears before a parent, television standards of dispassionate reporting no longer apply. Case in point? Campbell Brown, mother.

So heartbreaking…oh gosh, wish I could give Campbell a hug.
gawd, the whole thing is so tragic. I cant imagine how frustrating it must be to be there, so close, but feel helpless. Have they been able to bring in any aid yet, beyond the airport? What about food/water/medical suppy drops?
I am happy to hear they freed this little girl. It was so heartbreaking in the other clip, to hear her screams.
It is just so awful.
It would be nice to see her show the same level of compassion to our brave troops and their families.
LOL you’re kidding, right?
What a joke….do you think before pressing the SUBMIT button?
Except this story shouldn’t be about the media’s pain – it should be about the Haitians people! And Capt Kirk you are just an idiot.
Duc du Berry there are all types of stories coming out of this tragedy and for you to fault someone for showing emotion for a story about a part of it is something I just don’t get.
“Except this story shouldn’t be about the media’s pain – it should be about the Haitian people!”
But it isn’t about the media’s pain, really. Look at the word “medium” and think about what it means. Campbell Brown, along with everyone else involved in the media coverage of this tragedy, is the avenue through which we receive information. The data she’s passing along contains a lot of facts and figures, but a good portion of it happens to be emotional data. That doesn’t mean that she’s doing something wrong, nor that she’s making this about her. It means she’s being truthful, which is her job.

Obama’s Final Push On Health Care To Democratic Caucus On Capitol Hill
President Barack Obama spoke in the conference hall of the Capitol today about the health care reform bill which is coming close to meeting enough votes to pass in the House of Representatives, which earlier today decided not use the "deem and pass" strategy to railroad the bill through Congress. "I know this is a tough vote for some of you," said our president, adding "Don't do it for Nancy Pelosi, or Harry Reid, or me. Do It for the American People." Pay attention folks, this speech is definitely one for the history books.
