Fox’s Wallace Refuses to Take Romney’s ‘I’m Not Running’ as an Answer

Oh lord did Chris Wallace want to make news this morning by getting Mitt Romney to even inadvertently say something that could be misconstrued as possibly indicating he might be thinking about maybe considering potentially maybe running in 2016, so much so that he even asked the former GOP nominee whether Ann Romney was calling the shots over his political future. I mean, who wears the pants in this family?

When Mitt once again said he wasn’t running or planning on running, Wallace pressed ahead, asking if he was not running, or “not running,” or wink-wink “not running,” or if you’re really running maybe scratch your nose twice, or maybe the first letter of every word of your response spells I-M R-U-N-N-I-N-G? And that wasn’t even Wallace’s last try.

This is getting sad, people.
