Glenn Beck Dissects The Media And Democrat’s Response To Arizona Shooting

Like Rush Limbaugh this morning, Glenn Beck also sees a pattern in the quick connection between Rep. Gabrielle Giffords’ shooter and Sarah Palin. He spent his monologue today going over the media’s response as well as the history of Jared Loughner’s obsession with Giffords which began in 2007 at the latest, long before most people knew who Palin or Beck were.

In addition to this, Beck also issued a “challenge” to key Democrats around the country to stand up to denounce violence and violent threats (the challenge is further detailed over on The Blaze). On a day when the most popular post on Reddit Politics in an old quote of Beck joking about killing Michael Moore, positioning himself as the only rational voice trying to bring people together to fight against the real violence of the world is a pretty slick move. Of course, when Beck issues his challenge after a 20 minute monologue describing the ways Democrats exploited their colleague’s shooting, it’s unlikely any of them are going to pick up the phone and give him a call. And then, once those calls inevitably don’t come in, we can get a reminder of how all Democrats are afraid to stand up against violence every other show for the next four months.

However, while the Challenge might have been a fairly empty gesture, Beck still gets some good knocks in at the media’s response to the shooting and, therefore, there was plenty at the top of the show worth watching. Check out the clip from Fox News below:
