I hate to intrude with the facts but Olbermann, in his nightly round of self-applause last night, designed to drown out his small penis insecurities, pointed out that he carried the 14-15 year old cheeto eating basement dweller demo.
I don’t watch Glenn Back. Of those who do, do you agree or disagree with his policies? I am curious if his good ratings are because his message is resonating, or because people consider him a freak show.
Beck is drawing viewers because he is doing what no others in the media are doing. Instead of “wee weeing” all over himself about whatever O’Reilly is doing (a la Olbermann) he is digging and researching and bringing to light all kinds of topics and info that everyone else is ignoring.
Beck is conservative, but he isn’t happy with either party. And that is how many people are feeling.
And he is entertaining to watch. You don’t have to agree with everything someone says, but at least Beck isn’t just a mouth piece for the WH like msnbc, abc, nbc, cbs, etc.
Wow! Look at those great ratings…….oh wait. More people watch 4 year old re-runs of N.C.I.S. than O’Reilly every night of the week. Since they are all entertainment shows, Mark Harmon should be the one we all listen to when it comes to Health Care, the war in Iraq and the economy. O’Reilly should go back to Inside Edition, Olbermann to ESPN and Beck to whatever hole in the wall he came from.
Well said, Sarainitaly
sarainitaly, I have really enjoyed your comments!
If you have time, come over to a cable news discussion site called Johnny Dollar’s Place!

Which explains why Obama was elected…

I just popped over and left you a comment. It must be in moderation. :O)
Beck is crazy like a fox! Because he does it in a seemingly lighthearted and not mean spirited way, Beck can get away with saying a lot more than others like Olbermann who come off as angry and miserable. He can appear clownish on occasion, but it doesn’t seem to lessen the impact of his words which makes him a bigger threat to the Obama administration, the Democrats, and his competition.
Yesterday’s show was phenomenal!
Great numbers for Anderson’s return to NOLA. It looks like his big bulging biceps paid off! It wasn’t a bad show, but I did not see the point of having two segments on Jaycee Dugard, one would have been sufficient. Anderson should have spent more time on stories about the Katrina victims and the rebuilding of the city. He said he had planned to stay the weekend, but unfortunately, CNN called him back for the Kennedy funeral. How many people did they really need to cover it? Not a good decision.
@sarainitaly “Beck is conservative, but he isn’t happy with either party. And that is how many people are feeling.”
Of course he doesn’t call himself Republican, it’s the same reason O’Reilly doesn’t call himself Republican – to create a false sense of independence. Yet both of them argue day and night constantly for Republican policy positions, bash Democrats, constantly denigrate the word “liberal” and a heavy majority of their guests are conservatives and Republicans there to reaffirm their conservative beliefs. Believing somehow that their lack of self-identified party identification establishes more legitimacy to their words is complete rubbish. It’s obvious from watching a single minute of their shows that they’re Republicans and for Republicans. We only have two parties in America. It’s not hard to see which party they support.
The Seven Best (Or, Somewhat Memorable) Moments Of The Jay Leno Show

After 95 episodes, the epic failure known as The Jay Leno Show airs its final episode tonight. Of course, Leno himself will be back after the Olympics, comfortably at 11:35pm all over again. Which was pretty much the problem to begin with - the 10pm offering started as a similar product to the Tonight Show, and only became more like the old format as time went on.
David Paterson Rebuffs Rumors Of His Imminent Resignation
Embattled New York Governor David Paterson spoke publicly today about rumors of an impending scandal the imminent resignation that would come as a result. "The only way I'm not going to be Governor next year is at the ballot box. And the only way that I will be leaving office before is in a box." Video after the jump.
