Hillary Dodges Chris Hayes’ Question Over Whether Bernie Sanders Is Electable
Hillary Clinton called in to Chris Hayes‘ MSNBC show tonight, and towards the end, Hayes asked her about the electability of her chief Democratic rival.
Hayes brought up how David Brock––a big Clinton surrogate––told him months ago that Bernie Sanders is not electable in a general election against whoever the Republican nominee might be. He asked Clinton if she agrees.
Clinton said she won’t speak for anybody but herself, deferring to the judgment of the American voters. However, she did tout how “battle-tested” she is and specifically said there won’t be any “new information coming out or new labeling coming out” about her.
She focused on going after what she deemed backwards Republican policies and said she’s the most “prepared and ready” to fight and win. Clinton did not give a direct answer to the question of Sanders’ electability.
