Priebus: Trump Inching Away from GOP Pledge Has ‘Consequences’
RNC Chairman Reince Priebus warned this morning there are “consequences” for the kind of talk Donald Trump is engaging in about maybe not upholding the RNC pledge.
Trump was on CBS this morning complaining about the pledge, and over on ABC, Priebus was talking to George Stephanopoulos about how candidates’ “tone and tenor matter” to the GOP.
As for the pledge issue, Priebus said that anyone who wants to carry the mantle for the GOP has to be fully committed to that.

Stephanopoulos pointed out that Trump’s suggested a third-party bid. Priebus said, “Those kinds of comments I think have consequences.”
“When you make those kinds of comments and you want people to fall in line for you,” he explained, “it makes it more difficult.”
