Richard Blumenthal Projected Winner Over Linda McMahon In Connecticut

One of the few states in the country where women voters turned against a women candidate in significant numbers. Former WWE President Linda McMahon lost to AG Richard Blumenthal who managed to overcome the revelation that he had lied about his Vietnam record to win the Senate seat, or at least not offend the voters as badly as McMahon. Watch MSNBC’s report below.

That’s a hell of a legacy ain’t it? Not just bending the facts a little, he flat out lied to everyone and especially to veterans in the face numerous times and they still don’t give a shit…

What a pathetic state of affairs connecticut is.

Maybe he can body slam her in effigy at the victory party. Elbow drop, then count her out I-2-3 with some one in a referee shirt.

I shouldn’t condemn the people of Connecticut. If the Republicans had nominated a decent candidate, the results might have been different. The Republican candidate was simply scary. A lightweight on the issues.

Seriously, I think if it were almost any other Republican candidate, Bleumenthal would have lost. People just didn’t like Linda McMahon. Her association with WWE certainly didn’t help, but I think the real problem is that she never seemed to show a true grasp of the issues. She seemed to be nothing but soundbites, with no real substance behind them.

This wasn’t Bleumenthal’s race to win. It was McMahon’s to lose. And she did.

Better a lightweight than a phony.
