Rubio: Rand Paul ‘Has No Idea What He’s Talking About’ on Cuba

In light of Sen. Rand Paul‘s (R-Ky.) comments that President Obama’s recent policy actions on Cuba are “probably a good idea,” Megyn Kelly asked Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fl.), a staunch opponent of normalizing relations with the communist nation, what he thinks of Paul’s position.

“Like many people that have been opinion he has no idea what he’s talking about,” Rubio said.

Paul said on Thursday that America’s 50-year embargo of Cuba “just hasn’t worked,” and added, “If the goal is regime change, it sure doesn’t seem to be working and probably it punishes the people more than the regime because the regime can blame the embargo for hardship.”

This issue brings to light one of the first of many potential policy issues that could cause disagreement among the two senators and other 2016 Republican hopefuls.
