It is truly a mystery, not just as to Palin, but as to some of the other Republican possibilities as well. I suppose it has to be some sort of ideological purity being sought. Of course, “purity” and “Palin” have no place in the same sentence. Moreover, the ideology is extreme and unpopular itself. Palin is merely one of the least pure proponents of it. If this were an ideology which appealed to me, I’d be more prone to be drawn to a Bachmann or a Paul than to a Palin.

Because Hillary had equally bad favorability ratings(more than 50% of the country disapproved of her) when her Presidential campaign was gearing up in 2007. Yet by the end of the primaries, she even had a lot of conservatives begrudgingly respecting her for the way she fought tirelessly for the nomination.

Most of the negativity toward Palin is derived from the constant smears(the disgraceful Tuscon coverage for example) and people’s exposure to her being limited to a 3 year-old Katie Couric interview that the media still can’t let go of and a Tina Fey caricature on SNL. The fact that a lot of folks actually think Palin said the line “I can see Russia from my house” proves they don’t know anything about the woman.

So it stands to reason that 6-7 months of campaigning in the primaries which would undoubtedly include countless nationally televised speeches, rallies, townhalls, and interviews will reverse a lot of those negative poll numbers. She’s able to connect with voters. Even her biggest detractors won’t deny that. The key is to shed light on her record as governor and lay out for folks what her agenda would be. And if she’s the bumbling idiot the haters claim she is, then she’ll flame out before the Iowa caucuses and this will all be moot.

What was the exact quote? If she’s insisting that Obama’s accumulated more debt than an other individual President, that ‘s probably true by this point. His first three years in office will see about 4 1/2 trillion added to our debt. I don’t think Bush 43 totaled that even in 2 whole terms. And once you factor in the last year of Obama’s first term, there’s no doubt he’ll surpass any of his predecessors.

Now if Palin was insisting that Obama has accumulated more debt than all of the previous Presidents combined, that’s only true if you exclude Bush 43. So she may technically be wrong depending on how she phrased it, but to sit here and nitpick over that is silly. The point of the remark was to show how out-of-control the spending has gotten under this administration, and in that respect, no sane person can argue otherwise. You can’t run annual deficits of 1 1/2 trillion dollars and hope to have any semblance of a healthy economy.

Try starting your sentences with, “I FEEL that…………..” or “It’s DEPRESSING when………………,” or even use one of their favorites, “I HATE……………..” or “You are a …………………. .

See how easy it is? Those are the key to speaking to a Dim. Always remember………………..they ARE Dim, so leave out the truth and logic. And NEVER…………….NEVER……………NEVER confuse a Dim by attaching any relevance to RESULTS.
