SNL Twilight Spoof With Taylor Swift: “Firelight” (VIDEO)

Firelight - SNLDo you ike Twilight? Can’t wait for New Moon? Swoon over Robert Pattinson and working on that about-to-sulk Kristen Stewart look? Then you’re gonna love “Firelight” — the new digital short from SNL which takes Twilight to a whole new level. Actually a very similar level, except Edward is green. Taylor Swift does her best unsmiling goth as the Bella character, with some excellent supporting work by the other undead zombies in the gang. You’re almost rooting for these two crazy kids to make it. Until New Moon comes out on Nov. 20th, this will do.

p.s. Who makes a better stand-in for Robert Pattinson, Andy Samberg or Bill Hader? Trick question, there’s only one Robert Pattinson.

    Now that’s funny!

By the way, when did vampires stop being monsters in need of a stake in the heart and a beheading and start being romantic heroes?

I’m really glad that Ms. Sklar spends every Sunday writing up what happened the previous night on SNL. Sure, it’s another NBC program… and apparently Ms. Sklar only watches NBC programs, so that’s why she spends so much time talking about them (not because Mediaite’s founder is an NBC-guy). And sure, if I wanted to watch SNL, I would have done that myself… or gone to an entertainment-focused site, not a news site. But, really, when you think about it… without these SNL recaps, what WOULD Ms. Sklar write about?

    Oh, that’s right… Megan Fox.

    video

After years of the cringe-worthy pronunciation of nu-cu-lar during the Bush White House, it seemed like we finally had an administration who had a litmus test in staffing their National Security detail - pronounce the word "nuclear." Not so. During an interview to discuss Iran's weapons program with MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell today, National Security Chief of Staff Denis McDonough definitely uttered the term Nucular. Gotcha! Right-wing critics eager for payback? Go! Video after the jump.
