The Best Photos Of New Yorkers Celebrating Same-Sex Marriage Law On Twitter

Last night, New York became the sixth and largest state to pass a law giving same-sex couples access to civil marriages. In celebration, many in New York City’s historically gay West Village took to the streets to celebrate, while others took to Twitter to chronicle the occasion. Here is some of the best of what Twitter had to offer last night of a very special beginning to Pride Weekend.

I wonder, how many of these politicians are going to be around after the next election?

Oh, right, as if being against gay marriage makes one a bigot. That’s the typical liberal rebuttal.

As I’ve said many times, gays are here to stay. They’re not going anywhere. Whichever conservative politician figures out the magic middle-of-the-road formula between conservatives and gays will be a winner in a big way.

Note: Palin is the only potential candidate who, as governor, vetoed anti-gay legislation. Could explain the support for her by many gays including Tammy Bruce.

Anyway – they ain’t goin’ away.

  • LAPhil

No one’s insisting they go away.

To be honest, the only people taking it up the a** due to the passage of marriage equality in NY are the disgusting, right-wing, Anti-American, delusional crazies! The passage of this law is going to feel like just a tingle in their behinds compared to the reaming the Republicans will be taking in November ‘12. Republicans have shown themselves as the anti-middle class, anti-jobs, pro tax cuts for the rich, racist, anti-immigrant, corporate shills that they are. Why, they are going to take it so fast and hard on Nov. 6, 2012, they won’t even be able to walk on Nov. 7!

Much less. Old age and generational turnover keeps solving this problem.

The certified members of the lunatic-left d-cRAT socialist club of morally, ethically, socially, politically AND fiscally bankrupt states: new york, california, massachusetts and illinois (with CT, WA, RI, DE, VT, HI, MD, NC, OR as charter members) are blindly careening down the lunatic-left “Road to Hell”.

P.S. Don’t want to go to lunatic-left hell? Then stop acting like imbeciles, throw out all the TAX-AND-SPEND mentally defective d-cRAT socialists and instead elect responsible, conservative, Tea Party-backed American patriots -OR – move to a responsible, successful American state like the millions of other fed-up people who want a sane, pleasant, low-tax, high-growth, job-creating place to live and raise their children have done.

Remember, “Escape from New York” isn’t just a movie – it’s a real life fact. So, let me welcome to the real Americaall those who have finally had their fill of d-cRAT socialist extremism. ENJOY IT!
