2011 was an exciting year of highs and lows for the media landscape. From Andrew Breitbart taking the podium at Anthony Weiner’s press conference to Seth Meyers ripping into Donald Trump at the White House Correspondents Dinner, the news cycle this year never gave us a chance to catch our collective breath. However, there were only a few news stories that left an indelible mark on the public consciousness. Here are Mediaite’s top 10 most popular posts of the year.

Good riddance to 2011. May 2012 be a better year!

Pictures of Weiners and breasts certainly seems to drive up the click$ count for Mediaite.

“Betty” and “Veronica” and their ”Mom” want to thank Tommy Christopher for his contributions to journalism in 2011.

They think he’s the best journalist/pimp since James O’Keefe, and look forward to working with him again in 2012.

Happy New Year 12Volt and to Mrs 12Volt and all the little 6Volts running around !!

2012 will be a better year…as soon as we kick more Lib/Progs out of Congress and the WH !!

Had to get in one last jab…and a DRINK !!!

This is the BEST picture…the guy in the background too is just hilarious!

Does it not surprise anyone that there are no Tommy Christopher posts on the top ten list. Most of the popular posts are actually about the media and how they handle their job rather than politically bias posts by someone who feels they need to make Mediaite their own little left wing blog post.

Uh hoh my god…the Anthony Weiner stuff was the best.
The hours and hours of laughter that he gave to the world was priceless.

Twitter was a bleepin’ riot.   It was friggin’ hilarious.
I cannot think of a more schadenfreudiocious delight than watching that loudmouth jerk’s career as some DNC spokesperson/hero/MSNBC darling/U.S. Rep. die a very slow and wonderfully painful death.
Watching him squirm and lie and then how he began to lash out at the media was awesome.

The best part was watching all the sad little media-bots who liked him have to throw in the towel and admit that he was a lecherous perv.
It was killing them.   They tried so…hard..(ahem)  to save him but it just got worse and worse.
Then finally there was the full on naked shot of him at the Congressional gym no less and then the old photo of him in drag.
    HAHahHhhHAHahAHhHhahHhahahaAHhahHhahAHahHAhahAHhaHAHhahAhahHA…(wipes tear)

You know what the best part was though….?
EVERYBODY knew he was lying and it was so much fun watching all the DNC bum kissers defending him with their weak little scenarios how he may have been hacked.
You could see it in their eyes they knew it was a lie but they were pleading with the public to just let it go.
Watching Debbie Wasserman Schultz trying to tell us all that it “was a private matter” just made me so happy.
    It was the best.

Story 2 was epic… the Drudge flood of unwashed anger created a special collective document.

Picture the selective outrage from the vile left if they put the same picture up but of Barney Frank?

Gotta Agree.  Bachmann is Great and looks like she does a Great “Job”, but the guy in the background was priceless.

so basically people are fascinated with

What older people look like naked( insert ron white joke about wanting to see everyone naked)

a young girl who may be a murderess

and one dose of comedy about who people are full of crap thinking most teachers are rolling in dough

sex, violence, and comedy. Actually that sounds about right

On the other hand, if they put up the same picture of Barney Frank, brdad would get some corn meal and stick his dick in a deep fryer.

How about Rick Perry deep-throating an Iowa Corn dog?  Unlike Bachmann, he  knew to keep his eyes open, but .then again, he has a lot of experience!

I remember the Glenn Beck story….man, people, go back and read the comments about that story…a story about a glass of wine and some tweets,or”the most evil people I’ve ever seen” like Glenn said…….go back and read them,it’s worth it,that thread was bat.shit.in.sane.

  • Ben

    Yup.

  • Pablo

Have you had a lot of homosexual relations with Rick Perry?
