Wait What?! Romney Comes Out Swinging Against Gingrich’s ‘Permanent Lunar Colony’ Plan
Mitt Romney went after Newt Gingrich strong on the topic of all things — his “permanent lunar colony” proposal at the outset of Saturday’s Iowa debate. Moderator George Stephanopoulos asked the erstwhile Massachusetts Governor about his specific disagreements with the former Speaker of the House. “Why don’t you name them?” Stephanopoulos asked. “Places where we disagree?” Romney said. “Let’s see. We can start with his idea to have a lunar colony that would mine minerals from the moon! I’m not in favor of spending that kind of money to do that.”
